[Samba] create mask command in smb.conf

Hello,

In smb.conf, where I share a folder, i put the command :

create mask = 770 which normally should give rwx permissions to the owner and the group of the file or subfolder creator.However, when I create a folder in this shared folder from a WinXP station, the permissions are rwxr-xr-x and when I create a file, the permissions are rwxrw----.
Does anyone understand ?
