[Samba] Change the unix charset

Dear list ,

I have set in my smb.conf the unix charset  parameter to UTF8, but ind 
the docs I have read that for latin languages the correct setting is 
iso8859-1.
My doubt is: What is the impact in that change in my smb.conf?
Any help will be very apreciated.
