Subject: smb_request: result -512, setting invalid
Hello seeing the following errors in my /var/log/mEssages file
Samba 3.06
RH 2.4.21-20 kernel
Connection to Network Appliance Filesystem
Oct 30 19:37:00 sc8-a7-lri1 kernel: smb_get_length: recv error = 512 Oct 30
19:37:00 sc8-a7-lri1 kernel: smb_request: result -512, setting invalid Oct
30 19:37:00 sc8-a7-lri1 kernel: smb_retry: caught signal Oct 30 19:37:00
sc8-a7-lri1 last message repeated 28 times
Not sure what is wrong, not seeing any impact, but I see this at odd times.
My smb.conf is more for the smbmount, so it's basically a client not a
server connection.. What setting is invalid?
And my mount command is as follows (get this error on initial mount as well)
//sc8-e6-na-site/ltest /usr/local/site smbfs
credentials=/etc/passwd.smbfs,uid=rsvp,gid=rsvp 0 0
That's it, what in here is giving me the setting invalid?
