[Samba] Samba Issue

There is a smbpasswd file in /usr/local/samba/samba-2.2.3a/source/bin.
However, I don't know that it is being used. I have never "set up" any
new user and it had worked perfectly for a couple of years.

Also, I don't know how to look at the smbpasswd file. If I cat the file
it is encrypted.

Are you using an smbpasswd file ? We had some reports of this
and fixed one bug related to it for the upcoming 3.0.8 release.
