[Samba] Samba 2.28 / SuSE 8.2 pro - slightly OT?

Hi!

Following config:

SuSE pro 8.2, Samba 8.28. I have to copy the content of the shared directory
on an other harddisk.

I tried to copy

        cp -R /Sourcedirectory /Destinationdirectory

But the command doesnt copy files which contain a german umlaut öäü

I get a errormessage like
        Cant create regular File XXX\008


If I list the directory (ls) the filenames showed with placeholders instead
of the umlaut.

I think this depends on the codepage that samba uses.

How can I copy the files from the directory to the new harddisk?

Ich habe hier folgende Konfiguration:

Eine Suse Professional 8.2 Installation mit Samba 2.28. Nun muss ich den
Inhalt des freigegeben Samba-Verzeichnisses auf einen andere physikalische
Platte kopieren.

Leider werden mit

        cp -R /Quellverzeichnis /Zielverzeichnis

keine Dateien kopiert die Sonderzeichen (Umlaute) enthalten.

Die Fehlermeldung lautet zB:
        Cant create regular File XXX\008

Die Dateien werden auch in der Shell mit den "Platzhaltern" angezeigt (keine
Umlaute).

Die Dateien kann ich an den Clients ganz normal bearbeiten.
Meiner Ansicht nach liegt das an den Codepages.

Wie kann ich nun die Shell dazu bewegen die Dateien zu kopieren?
