"This parameter is not available when Samba listens  on port 445, as 
clients no longer send this information."

I will say that as someone who is not an expert on the guts of 
Microsoft Networking and certainly not an expert on either its 
history of development OR samba's history of development I found this 
to be extremely confusing and feel that this could be explained a 
little better.
