[Samba] SWAT displays wrong status

Hello,

if I enter a NetBIOS name in SWAT that is equivalent to
my (Linux) server name then SWAT displays the
correct status of the smbd deamon.

However if I enter a NetBIOS name that is different
than my (Linux) server name then SWAT
always displays the status of smbd as "not running",
although smbd is up an running
(check via: ps -ef|grep smbd)

The status of the nmbd deamon is always displayed correct.

parameter: bind interfaces only = no.

I have Samba V. 3.0.2a with kernel 2.6.4-52 (SuSE 9.1 Pro distribution).

Any idea ?
