FW: [Samba] Smbd not running

The smbd is in the dir /usr/local/samba/sbin
And I already ran the command 
/usr/local/samba/sbin -D ,it takes the command but when I run grep smbd
I get no pid number, meanwhile nmbd runs and gives me a pid number

/usr/sbin/smbd -D
