I am receiving the same error message and am also wondering what this
is. I am trying to run Samba 3.0.2a as a PDC. The server is set to
only receive NTLMv2 connections (thanks to A. Bartlett). I have set the
HKLM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\lmcompatibilitylevel to 5 on the
clients. All the Win2K/XP machines have no trouble joining the domain
using the root account. The problem I have is that when I reboot after
the join I am unable to login to the domain with any domain user
account. I get the error:
[2004/03/29 22:25:59, 0] rpc_server/srv_pipe.c:api_pipe_netsec_process(1371)
failed to decode PDU
[2004/03/29 22:25:59, 0] rpc_server/srv_pipe_hnd.c:process_request_pdu(605)
process_request_pdu: failed to do schannel processing.
Do the schannel settings on the client or server have to be changed, or
both? Below is a copy of my smb.conf file. The settings that I think
apply to this error are:
client signing = auto
server signing = no
client schannel = auto
server schannel = auto
I think that this is related to Bug #169 but am not certain. Has anyone
else experienced this problem?
Martin-Your problem seems to be the same as mine, that is why I didn't
want to start another thread. If I am mistaken, I apologize.
