[Samba] Read Write by everyone over network

Hi

I have managed to successfully set samba up so that I can access my windows
shares from linux and my linux shares from windows, but, when I access my
linux shares from windows I cannot write to them.

Here is an excerpt from my smb.conf file:

[shared]
comment = Shared directory on Linux box
path = /shared
guest ok = yes
writeable = yes

Why doesn't this work?

What should I be doing instead?
