[Samba] Redhat build

I am looking to build SAMBA from source for Redhat 9.  What are the standard -with statements that I should use?  Like the ones for the RPM.  I am looking to use :
Samba 3.X
Cups 1.1.X
BitDefender  which is the vfs function in SAMBA (standard now with 3.X?)

Is there any info I need to be aware of that is of the learning curve area?
