I had problems with german special characters in file and user names (fixed
in later versions), macro-problems in global section and the special
homes-share (%S) (fixed?) and so on.
Samba 2.2.8a ist stable enough for www.eisfair.org, but 3.x not at this
time. I think I have to wait for 3.0.2 or later.
Btw:
I think I have found the problem with the string overflow in 2.2.8a. It was
a W2K client with a NETBIOS name with 14 characters. The error occured while
mapping a network drive.
