[Samba] Help! Samba 3.0 can't use null password with OS X

I'm not sure what makes you so sure about that - I certainly don't think
that this issue is fixed.

However, the issue as described seems to be the result of misusing the
idea of 'null passwords' on the server - ie, storing the null string as
a password, rather than setting the 'no password required' flag.
