[Samba] "root did not create the semaphore"

Hi,

      I installed samba on a SCO system . All the demons comes up
properly without any error. But wen we try to mount any thing I saw
following messages

  ERROR: root did not create the semaphore

  ERROR: Failed to initialise share modes
