[Samba] Share name limitation- 8 chars only

Hello, samba users,

i also found that if i create a share  name of  more than 8 chars, testparm 
gives a warning message? i am using version 2.2.8a?

Any ideas how to have a longer sharename....

oh yes, i still cant delete folders from my linux clients but its possible 
through windows clients. anyone with ideas ?
