And sorry for the misleading information about the correct behaviour in 
2.2.12 and 3.0.8pre2:

I changed the option -U in

/usr/bin/smbclient -U 'eisfair Samba Server on TEST2' -M TEST2

with 3.0.9 from

-U 'eisfair Samba Server'

to

-U 'eisfair Samba Server on TEST2'
