Just to clarify, we don't want to lowercase everything.
Just files for which getpwnam("filename") succeeds.  But I think
checking every file would be overkills and potentially a
performance killer for large directory trees.  I would assume that
lowercasing would be done on eith home directories or mail spool
files/directories.  Sounds right ?
