Sounds like you might have an issue with the global settings in smb.conf which start with the word "logon", maybe specifically "logon path" or the dirs they are trying to point to.

Roaming profiles are a bad evil thing anyway. Set "logon path =" and be done with it, disable them and the dialog box that is popping up and annoying you.
