I've defined my password backend db as an ldap link. I've enabled pam
to use the pam_smbpass module to reset users samba password at the same
time as the unix password during the system level passwd command. My
problem is, when someone tries to change their password they get the
following:
>passwd testfive
New Password:
Aug 18 10:56:54 ltrkar73s33 PAM_smbpass[3908]: [ID 772098 auth.alert]
Cannot access samba password database
Permission denied
Samba is 3.0.4 on Solaris 9 using SunONE Directory Server.
