Hello,
i have the problem that samba writes in the wrong files
This is the original log.smbd and there you can find something from
Mozilla 1.4 inside:
2003/09/01 14:42:39, 1] smbd/service.c:close_cnum(677)
wadjet (192.168.17.50) closed connection to service WLW
// <!-- <mdb:mork:z v="1.4"/> -->
< <(a=c)> // (f=iso-8859-1)
(80=ns:msg:db:row:scope:msgs:all)(81=subject)(82=sender)(83=message-id)
(84=references)(85=recipients)(86=date)(87=size)(88=flags)(89=priority)
...<schnipp>......
(AE=folderName)(AF=charSet)(B0=charSetOverride)(B1=lastPurgeTime)>
<(80=1)(81=INBOX.Junk)(9D=Mon Sep 01 14:33:00 2003)>
{1:^9E {(k^9F:c)(s=9u)}
[1(^AC=1)(^AD81)(^B1^9D)(^A9=1)(^AA=1)]}
@$${1{@
{-1:^80 {(k96:c)(s=9)} }
{-FFFFFFFD:^99 {(k98:c)(s=9)} }
<(9E=Mon Sep 01 14:38:00 2003)>[1:^9E(^B1^9E)]
@$$}1}@
...<schnipp>......
@$${9{@
@$$}9}@
[2003/09/01 14:59:26, 1] smbd/service.c:make_connection(636)
elac-58 (192.168.17.58) connect to service arev as user markus
(uid=502, gid=101) (pid 10321)
[2003/09/01 15:05:57, 0] lib/util_sock.c:read_data(436)
Later i get a Seek-File Fehler:
[2003/09/01 15:18:00, 0] smbd/fileio.c:seek_file(43)
seek_file:
(Netscape/giesler/u40jwlc6.slt/ImapMail/imap.elzet80.de/INBOX.sbd/Junk.msf)
sys_lseek failed. Error was Bad file descriptor
This happens at other Sambafiles too, und it seems not to be Mozilla
specific only.
At the sambaserver runs an old (but we must use) DOS-Databases called
AREV - Advanced Revelation. This Database uses a "byte range locking".
At the moment i don't know what this realy is.
If i got the errors only (at the moment) when the database runs.
Do you have an idea, or ever see something like this ?
Thank you very much !!!
My smb.conf:
the oplocks=No is old, but could be an error.
This was done, because the database should do the oplocks.
