try running,

crle -c /var/ld/ld.config -l /usr/lib:/usr/local/lib

assuming your libiconv is in the /usr/local/lib dir this adds the library search path for libiconv to on your system,

I have started testing 3.0 on solaris8 but when starting samba it 
complains about not finding samba/lib/charsets/8859-15.so.

I have installed libiconv as a replacement for sun own iconv but that 
didnt make any difference.

Does anybody know where I can find this file?
