[Samba] looking for a little help

Hello,
I'm attempting to create a new share on my samba server for a new 
user.  However for some reason it won't recognize the users password 
whatsoever.  I have tried creating a new username and that does not seem to 
work.  The server is configured for user level with encrypted 
passwords.  The share has been configured to only accept connections from 
this user.  If anyone could give me some info so that I can have a place to 
start in where to look I would appreciate it.
