[Samba] 9x clients printing in B&W with CUPS

I have a working printing system where clients use the Adobe drivers to
print to Samba(3.0)/CUPS(1.19).

The 9x clients do not always print the colour for some graphic object types
(where XP/2000 clients do).

Is this a restriction of this configuration?
