hi:
i try to upgrade samba 2.2.8a to samba 3.0final.
and i found win2000 client can not login(win9x is ok).
after some tracing, i found that nt password stored at samba
  is not ok.

if i use samba3's smbpasswd to change the password again, then
  win2000 client can login.

if i use "ntlm auth = no" at smb.conf, then win2000 client can
  login.

so is there anyway to convert 2.2 smbpasswd to 3.0? i try
pdbedit but the converted nt password is not working either.

and i found that samba3's default password length must > 5,
can i change that? i try "min passwd length" but is seems not
  work.

  thanks for advice!!!
