Hi list.
Im trying to configure a fileserver in a linux RH 8.0 client machine
that gets IP configuration from a NT4 DHCP server. Running just dhclient, I
get an IP 10.10.c.d that works OK, mounting others windows-shares, etc. But,
I cannot make smbd works. The only "solution" is NOT run dhclient, and
smbclient -L MYHOST -I 127.1 works OK (Not very usefull, you can see :) )
The error I get when dhclient is started, is the classic
#smbclient -L MYHOST
session request to MYHOST failed (Call returned zero bytes (EOF))
session request to *SMBSERVER failed (Call returned zero bytes (EOF))
log.smbd.1:
[2003/05/09 23:35:08, 0] lib/util_sock.c:open_socket_in(804)
[2003/05/09 23:35:08, 0] smbd/oplock.c:init_oplocks(1220) open_oplock_ipc:
Failed to get local UDP socket for address 100007f. Error was Cannot assign
requested address
- I´ve /etc/services OK.
System is:
- samba 2.2.8a
- dhclient 3.0PL1
- only 1 eth adapter
Some suggestion??
Thanks!
Tu amigo Pablo.
