[Samba] Failed to modify entry error

This didn't work.

I have added hosts of this format and length in the past... I don't know
what config change/system change would have made this happen before.
The user was accepted with this length in the passwd file.

The platform is Debian Linux:

bigbyte:/etc/samba# uname -a
Linux bigbyte 2.4.20 #1 Wed Mar 19 17:12:33 EST 2003 i686 unknown
unknown GNU/Linux
