Need info.       :)

Are you authenticating using PAM_Winbind against a NT Domain Controller?
Are you authenticating against a Samba domain Controller?
Which version of Samba do you run, on what version of Unix, and what file
system are you running it on?
What are the attributes of the slowness?  Do they take time to connect, or
do they take a long time when browsing, or transferring files?
