I just tested saving from word to the share.
Version 2.2.3a-12 for Debian
worked fine for me, running os 10.2.6 with the developers tools loaded,
and fink installed.
no rforks were created though.
What user is the share mounted as? the program would try to create the
file with the name of the user that started the app.
other than that, what programs?
