Have you made certain that your Red Hat 9.0 is fully updated with the
latest errata? That is the first step. If then you still have a problem,
then you will need to compile Samba with the -g option and we need to
capture the same back-trace info. Armed with that information you should
post a bug report to https://buzilla.samba.org
