Did you reset the windows registry keys? 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameter
s]
requiresignorseal = 0
signsecurechannel = 0

This is required for win XP.

Did you set up a machine account?
1) a UNIX account for my_machine$
2) smbpasswd -a -m my_machine ?
