I'm running Red Hat AS 2.1, kernel level 2.4.9-e.16, with these samba
packages:
samba-common-2.2.7-3.21as
samba-client-2.2.7-3.21as
samba-2.2.7-3.21as
samba-swat-2.2.7-3.21as.

I have 2 real NICs, and configured a virtual interface of off eth0
(eth0:1). Some other services I'm running are listening on port 137,
socket address 0.0.0.0. thus nmbd is unable to bind to it.

Can I force nmbd to bind to the virtual ip I have assigned on eth0:1?
As it is only smbd is up.

Noam.
