[Samba] network not found,mounting timing out

Hi,

I have Samba 2.2.7a installed.

I have a WindowsXP machine, having the default MSHOME
workgroup, NetBIOS installed, and no passwords on the
hard disk shares.

On my RHL machine, I tried to mount the windows drive,
but failed, it said the "operation was already in
process" and it timed out.

And When I try to net view XX.XX.XX.XX it just times
with Network not found error.

First it was showing the file lock initialization
error, but that fixed, when i did smbclient -L
localhost.

I only edited the smb.conf to reflect the correct
workgroup and restarted smbd, and nmbd.

Is there anything else I might have to do ?
