[Samba] Starting Samba... RC script or inetd.conf (SOLARIS)

I am curious about which is the best way to start Samba daemons.
 
I have always used a startup script method in /etc/rc2.d as I am familiar
and comfortable with this method.
 
Others prefer using entries in inetd.conf and /etc/services.
 
What are the differences between the two and which is best/most efficient
etc?
 
I'm just curious so I'd appreciate any insights you may have.
