Just a few pointers.

Here's what I do.

stop samba
stop winbind
edit smb.conf to have winbind stuff and domain stuff
net join ads blahblahblah
start winbind
start samba
wbinfo -p doesn't work, look at winbind logs and try again. :)

| it refuses to start at present so I will need to do some tinkering and
| reading to get it going.
