[Samba] Problem Restarting Samba3

Sounds like you may not be stopping the smbd3 competely.  How are you
stopping the service?  Do verify that the smbd3 is stopped:
    ps -ae | grep smbd3

Also, here are the latest Mandrake RMPS for Samba:
