[Samba] Samba / Windows 2000 SP4

I have a Linux file server running samba version 2.2.7
 
All has been fine until I upgraded the windows 2000 clients to SP4.
 
Now I have had to move the profiles directory onto a windows server.
 
Because of permissions on the folders. I have got the permissions to
work on files but cant get the permissions to work correctly on folders.
 
Has anybody had this problem and managed to fix it??????
