[Samba] smbmount - old NFS-handshake error message...

Hello:

We have installed RedHat v. 9 with samba. I then try to
mount a file system on a Windows XP client using

mount -t smbfs -c username //IP-number/Directory /mount

The mount is OK, but when I do a

% cd /mount
% ls

I get an error message:

"Foreldet NFS-filhåndtak (in Norwegian)" i.e.
"Old NFS-handshake"

and now files are liste.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem?
