I can't beleive I missed that. I was looking at that yesturday when I was
trying out a bunch of things but never disabled it. Works like a charm. Have
to add that one to the nogin of tricks. Thanks.
And to the other two that helped out thank you for your time and effort it's
much appreciated. Hope you didn't get to far in that log by the time you get
this messages. I wouldn't want you taking a couple of Advil on my account.

Have you tried to disable the WebClient service on the XP clients? This
is a very common problem of having the WebClient enabled. No one seems
to pick up on it. Disabling the WebClient solved my problem of slow
connects to shares from an XP client.
