[Samba] Building Source PAM Issue - Any Suggestions?

I am using the Samba 3.0 alpha23-1 source rpm to do a rebuild on my system
running RedHat9. I am getting an error while running make on pam_errors.c.

The last warning that i recieve is:

lib/pam_errors.c:102 'PAM_SYSTEM_ERR' undeclared (first use in this
function)
make: *** [lib/pam_errors.o] Error 1
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.04006 (%build)

Anyone know what is going on here?

I am curious if i am missing something with my PAM setup or install. I can
provide more detail if anyone needs it.
