I have seen this error when use client drivers = yes is in the conf
file.  Try removing that line.  That will require you to either just
load the driver on the client manually, or to create a print$ share
and give the client the driver through that, but otherwise it should
be fine.  I have no idea what that line actually does aside from
causing that error as I setup boxes with and without it and have not
had any driver issues.
