First, check the unix rights you gave to mmurrock user.
If he is not in a group which has rights to write, whatever Samba would do, he
would not be able to write.

A little exemple to make it clear :

Assume that /home/* belongs to "myusers" group. If mmurrock is not in this
group, add it. If, for a reason (restriction on other directories), you could
create another group in which mmurrock and the other users in previous group
(the ones in %S) are.

chgrp newgroup * and its on the road ...

That's where i use ACL to enable sharing on a per-user basis, but many people
do not like it. You should first get used to use groups before crapping your
kernel and file rights with ACLs.
