[Samba] Samba client local user

Hello all,
   I would be obliged if any solves a small problem of
mine. Lets say i want to connect as a local user to
windows m/c which is connected to a domain. I enter
the username as local_machine\user.
   Now how do i do the same for a linux samba server
authenticating through a domain.
