This should be lanmanager. samba are able to 'speak' lanmanager, that
has nothing in common with netware/ncp.

Your samba server has to be  configured for "security = share".
Take a look at "man smb.conf -> security (G)".

Use the setup routine on disk 1. 
	NetBIOS
	TCP/IP
