the latest SuSE release 8.1 (official release in 4 days) has ACL-support
out-of-the-box for:

        - ext2
        - ext3
        - XFS
        - JFS
        - ReiserFS (needs kernel-rebuild to switch ACL on)

maybe this is a considerable option for you.
