[Samba] access control with windows 2000

Currently in my network, we are using windows 2000 server as the PDC and a samba server as a file server, N samba server gets all the authorisation details from the windows 2000 server. I was wondering if there's a way to control the permission on the samba file server (folders) from within windows server rather then doing in from linux itself.
