[Samba] Adding a NetApp filer to a Samba Controlled Domain

I am attempting to add a NetApp filer to a Samba Controlled Domain.
Has anyone had any luck getting this to work?

Googleing for information yielded some indication that some kind 
of RPC bug related to netapp was fixed in 2.2.2 but I couldn't find 
anything relating to adding a netapp to a domain.

I am willing to provide anything else anyone else might want but
don't want to clutter up the list with unnecessary stuff.

Some details:

Samba Host:
Debian GNU/Linux woody
kernel 2.4.18
Samba version 2.2.3a

Netapp error messages:
CIFS - Primary Domain Controller must be active for installation.
Filer NETAPP1 removed from workgroup OG
CIFS - could not determine domain type. Assuming NT4 domain.
CIFS - Connecting filer to the NT4 domain.

CIFS local server is shutting down...
