Sort of.  We sync HEAD onto SAMBA_3_0 and then do a release.
What we mean by officially being maintained is that we are watch 
what is merged into SAMBA_3_0 more closely and don't just blindly 
copy everything from HEAD on it.

I'm planning on starting the official maintainence of SAMBA_3_0
as soon as the 2.2.6 release is done (hopefully tomorrow or Monday).
