[Samba] Windows XP hang

Hi Jurgen,

I've spent many many hours on the same problem, and have finally managed
to solve the problem...

It appears that WinXP tries to do some sort of authentication via WebDAV
as well as smb. Try disabling the webclient service on your XP box and see
if things improve.
