Hi,

I tested a little bit further. Today I tried samba2.2.6_pre2
and I get a "better" error message:

[2002/09/04 16:42:22, 0]
printing/nt_printing.c:move_driver_to_download_area(1469)
move_driver_to_download_area: Unable to rename [WIN40/ADOBEPS4.DRV] to
[WIN40/0/ADOBEPS4.DRV]
[2002/09/04 16:43:37, 0]
printing/nt_printing.c:move_driver_to_download_area(1469)
move_driver_to_download_area: Unable to rename [W32X86/ADOBEPS5.DLL] to
[W32X86/2/ADOBEPS5.DLL]

I used default settings (only prefix is set) and the same
smb.conf as before. The cups version is still 1.1.15_1.
The box is a suse7.1 Therefore all files should be at
the right place (adobe and so on).
cupsaddsmb -v 10a_HP8000 or any other printer lead's
to the error message above (nothing else at debug level 10 for smbd !!).
I created the folder structure and used 777 as permission,
just to make sure, that everybody can write.

What would be the next step ?

Bye,
    Peer
