[Samba] NN browsing

Have replaced Slackware 7 server with Suse 8, hence samba 1.8 to 2.2, 
using same smb.conf
Everything works OK except Network Neighbourhood browsing.
I've had to enable WINS and/or use client lmhosts files to restore 
access. Win311 boxes still cannot map the server.
Any ideas?
